Join us on November 13 for a Boardroom Series session with Andy Dutfield, Vice President, Greater Winnipeg area, WCAN concrete products, Lafarge Canada Inc. Andy will share his experiences and story of working in the construction industry in Canada and overseas since 1977. This Boardrooms Series is offered in a limited seating environment to provide a unique opportunity to have a discussion with an experienced industry member - it should prove valuable for any young member of the construction industry.

Andy completed a four year civil indentured Civil Engineering Technician apprenticeship with the Bracknell Development Corporation in the UK in 1977 prior to completing a B.Sc in Civil Engineering at Coventry Polytechnic.
After graduating, Andy emigrated to South Africa, working in the Orange Free State, Eastern Cape and Johannesburg for a number of companies, firstly in contracting in the gold and uranium mines and then for consultants in the upgrading of Soweto. After spending four years with Shell Oil and obtaining a M.Sc by research, he then spent time in the cement, concrete and precast concrete industries prior to coming to Canada, to work for a precaster in Saskatchewan. Andy moved to Winnipeg in 1999 and joined Lafarge as Precast GM in 2002 and Vice President in 2008.
Andy is the current Chairman of the Canadian Concrete Pipe and Precast Association, the Chair of the Winnipeg Construction Association and Vice Chair of the Manitoba Construction Sector Council.
He is a life long road runner and musician. Married with three adult children.
