Join YCLM for an exclusive industry tour of the new DFSM Sage Creek K–8 school currently under construction. This impressive two-storey facility spans 71,000 sq.ft showcasing a modern approach to educational and community infrastructure. The facility includes 61,400 sq.ft of dedicated school space and an additional 9,400 sq.ft allocated for a fully integrated daycare center. During the tour, participants will gain insights into the design, layout, and construction techniques employed in delivering a contemporary learning environment tailored to support students from kindergarten through Grade 8.
Key features of the new school include:
A central core housing a full-sized gymnasium, multipurpose room, home economics lab, industrial arts space, music room, and a vibrant learning commons—designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and hands-on learning.
Two distinct classroom wings extending in the east-west direction, promoting efficient circulation and access to shared amenities.
A purpose-built daycare facility located on the south side of the building, offering convenient and secure access for families and staff.
Tour attendees will have the opportunity to observe construction phases, discuss project challenges and solutions with the design and construction teams, and explore how modern building practices are shaping the future of educational spaces.
