Teemu was raised in Finland, where he played hockey, went to sauna, and studied industrial engineering. After a university exchange to Saskatoon at the University of Saskatchewan, he decided to move to Canada in 2013 and never looked back. For eight years he has been selling Finnish elevators for KONE, which is a family owned company founded in Finland over 100 years ago. His coworkers like to tease that he is a spy sent abroad from KONE head office to keep eyes on them, and allegedly his uncle is part of the Herlin family who originally founded the company. He has integrated Finnish culture to Canadian winters by building his own traditional backyard Finnish sauna that reaches 100 degrees celsius.
